EdTech for Innovation 2025

Delve into AI ethics, UDL, digital citizenship, and media and environmental literacies. These competencies include deciphering fact from misinformation and disinformation, identifying those perpetuated by bots and deepfakes, and countering messages and systems that reinforce stereotypes and harm. This session will provide resources to facilitate deeper learning for youth to co-design the future.

This session incorporates the AI Competency Framework for Teachers (UNESCO, 2024) ethics of AI, including "human rights, human agency, promotion of linguistic and cultural diversity, inclusion, and environmental sustainability… data privacy, intellectual property rights, and other legal frameworks… sociocultural and environmental concerns in the design and use of AI, and contributing to the co-creation of ethical rules for AI practices in education," as well as the AI Competency Framework for Students (UNESCO, 2024) to prepare "students as AI co-creators and responsible citizens."
